can choose where they would like to have their server,
in The Netherlands or in Germany.

major importance Frankfurt can be the best solution for you.

Serververhuur is now almost 2.5 years old and our server park has grown to over 50 machines. Over the last few years CPU's became much more powerful and also the power consumption is
a lot lower nowadays. This made us decide to say goodbye to the machines we have started with. We are replacing all machines with a CPU older than the new intel core technology, including
some dual Xeon machines which were top of the notch circa 2.5 years ago.
The servers will be replaced with new Dell R200 Quad-Core Xeon 3370 3ghz servers with 8GB of RAM. This way we
do not only help the environment but also our customers, as the new machines will provide a better gaming experience.
The servers will be replaced the night from 25-03 to 26-03, all customers involved have been notified by e-mail.
All COD WaW gameservers have been patched to 1.3.

Left 4 Dead gameservers are now available! Gameserver slots differ per mode selected, for this reason we will keep all servers on a maxplayers of 12.
The costs for a Left 4 Dead server are €9.85 per month for a private and €14.85 for a public!
At the moment we are hosting on windows, for this reason we can offer you COD5 servers this early.
This does have some consequences, our regular control panel does not work on windows and that is the reason you can only start/stop/restart/FTP and not reinstall or adjust the command line.
The first mods for COD5 are allready there, like DAMN mod. We can enable these mods if you mail to support@serververhuur.com asking for it. We will put the mod on and change your command line. As soon as there are linux binaries you will be able to do all this yourself!
Call of Duty World at War gameservers are now available.

As some of you might have noticed we have quite some Beta servers up and running, for the whole list please check our forums.
With every Call of Duty 5 pre-order you will get a FREE beta server!
Although we have send 2 mails about this update it still seems some people are having problems with this update.
If a restart on your gameserver does not update it you should edit server.sh and make sure there are no empty lines (enters) after the "screen -S ... etc" command.
Then restart the server two times, once to update the steam binary, once to update the server. If you really can not get it working simply reinstall the server (backup configs first) and
it will be up to date.
Far Cry 2 gameservers are now available for order! There is no linux dedicated server yet but we have a few windows machines up and running to provide everyone servers for this brand new game.
The Call of Duty: World at War beta is coming soon! Serververhuur will be hosting as much publics as possible to provide everyone the opportunity to test the game. If you pre-order
a server now, you will get a free beta server! Also switching back to COD4 or previous versions is free of charge. We will update this post as soon as our publics servers for the beta are up and running!
Note: Serververhuur has a few windows server 2008 machines to be able to provide everyone who pre-orders this game a gameserver directly after the game hits the stores. Everyone who wants his current
gameserver to be switched to this game can mail a request to support. We can not guarantee everyone a windows server, only for pre-orders we can. Switchers might have to wait a few days on the linux binaries.
We just opened our brand new forums! The goal is to enable our customers to share their knowledge and ask each others help. Our official support will stay support@serververhuur.com,
but there will also be community managers active on our forums and frequently asked questions will be stickied on our forums. These community managers know a lot about the specific game and will also be the main admin of our community public servers.
For most games we are still looking for these managers and the current admins and moderators will help in all forum categories! If you would like to apply for the job, please take a look
in the forum thread about the community manager search.

This night (wednesday 16th -> thursday 17th) Serververhuur will be moving all machines to a new location. All current customers have allready been notified about this circa 10 days ago. Servers will go offline between 22.00-01.00 and should be up a couple of hours later!
As we allready make some changes to the startup line of your gameserver, please do not restart your server between 18.00 and 22.00!
The main important change will be the IP's of all the gameservers. A list with all old and new IP's can be found here. Everything is back up and running, if you have any problems please mail to support!

Call of Duty 4 ranked servers at the same costs!
Because it seems unclear how the ranked / unranked system will be used by Serververhuur.com, i will explain this here:
Ranked COD4 servers will have the same price as unranked servers but you can only adjust a limited amount of options, installing mods or changing options not allowed by the developers will cause the server to become unranked.
The following options can be adjusted to keep your server ranked:
Game mode, min ping, max ping, voice chat, autobalance, map voting, punkbuster, map, old school mode, hardcore mode, spectating, killcam, friendly fire, score limit, time limit.
